RACING RUDDER

This plastic Racing Rudder has designed keep direction & steer with a minimum drag and turbulance. Achieving this, these balanced rudders are narrow, thin, triangular and have a low surface. They have a shaft diameter of 6 mm with a plain grinded shaft end that is fixed to a nylon crosspiece. Steering cords are attached to the ends of this circular crosspiece, resulting a sensitive & smooth understern steering system.

Distadvantages are their introlerance of crashes and their strange attraction to seaweed.

STAINLESS "MARATHON" RUDDER

Narrow, low profile, unbalanced rudders (the shaft is connected to the frontmost part of the blade) made up by durable stainless steel.

Key differences: unbalanced shaft, lower profile, narrow & more durable blade

The position of the shaft and the shape of the blade prevents the accumulation of seaweed. A popular choice for both long distance paddlers.

Stainless Marathon Rudders are available in three sizes: Medium for K1s and swift FITNESS models, Large for K2s and wider FITNESS models & XL on request only.
